SynthMaker for Mac

Build your own synth on your Mac. It has the same engine as the web app and the iPhone app, and there's nothing to set up.

Free during the beta. When Pro launches, the Pro features need SynthMaker Pro; everything else stays free.

Install

  1. Open the downloaded SynthMaker DMG.
  2. Drag SynthMaker into Applications.
  3. Open SynthMaker from Applications. The first time, macOS checks that it's an app downloaded from the internet; click Open.

Updates

SynthMaker updates itself. When a new version is ready, it asks you, and one click installs it. Each beta build's Pro features stop after about four months, so keep updates on; everything else keeps working, and a newer build is always out by then.

Already have SynthMaker from TestFlight?

This is a separate app, with its own library, so your sounds won't appear in it yet. Syncing them between the two through your account comes later.

Sign in

Signing in is optional. To use the same account as synthmaker.com/app, sign in with Apple or Google in Settings: it opens in your browser.

The AI features need macOS 27.
